Happy Teachers Day

Teachers Day, when was it established for Malaysia? no one knows. well, it was the year 1956 on May 16th. The date was chosen because on the same day in 1956, the Federal Legislative Council of the Federation of Malaya endorsed the Razak Report, one of four reports of the Education Committee regarding education in Malaysia. The document, known as the Razak Report after Tun Abdul Razak who was Education Minister at the time, became the basis of education in Malaysia ever since. Although it is not an official school holiday, celebrations are usually held on May 16, or earlier, if it falls on a Saturday or Sunday. So that's why it was specifically chosen to be May16th of the year 1956. :D

here's a poem for you teachers out there, without you teachers and tutors, lecturers and supervisors, i wouldn't be as smart as i am today. :D

If I could teach you, teacher, I’d teach you how much more you have accomplished than you think you have. I’d show you the seeds you planted years ago that are now coming into bloom. I’d reveal to you the young minds that have expanded under your care, the hearts that are serving others because they had you as a role model. If I could teach you, teacher, I’d show you the positive effect you have had on me and my life. Your homework is to know your value to the world, to acknowledge it, to believe it. Thank you, teacher.

so to all you students out there, show your teacher some appreciation by writing them a poem or giving them a nice good treat. :D i've got something for you to give to your teacher, it's a poem i found. :D
